Community Services

Prevention is here to serve the community.

Presentations

Our trained staff are available to come to speak to groups of all ages about behavioral health topics. We will work with you to customize the presentation. We will take into account the target audience and the goal of the presentation. Some of our most common presentations include Drug Trends, Social Media and Substances, Narcan Training, Dysfunctional family dynamics and Game night (where we use a game style presentation to educate)

PREP (Palmetto Retailers Education Program)

Do you work in a place that sells or serves alcohol or tobacco products? This course helps educate merchants of the laws around those products. If you have received a citation for selling to someone underage this is the class, you would need to take. This class helps us to reduce underage access to substances and helps lower liability risks for businesses and employees.

Health Fairs and Community Events

Sharing information and educating is a major part of what our prevention team does. We love tabling at events and health fairs. Please reach out if you have an upcoming event, you would like us to attend.

AET (Alcohol Enforcement Team)
York County is part of the 16th Circuit Alcohol Enforcement Team. This is a statewide initiative and a collaboration between Keystone Behavioral Health and local law enforcement. Officers conduct compliance checks to make sure all alcohol and nictione retailers are abiding by state laws and not selling to anyone underage. This is an environmental strategy that is done to keep substances out of the hands of minors.

PREP (Palmetto Retail Education Program)
While we hope that all retailers know and obey that law, we are aware that laws change often. This is a short course that helps reduce underage access to alcohol and tobacco products in our communities, while also lowering the liability risks for businesses and their employees. If a person is ticketed for selling to a minor, this is the class they would take. If you need to inquire about a class, please call or email (TBD).

Health Fairs and Community Events
We love to share information and educate the community. We do this by tabling at local events. Please let us know if there are any events you would like us to attend
