Preventing substance use through education.
The prevention department works closely with the local school districts to help educate students on social-emotional learning as well as refusal skills. We offer an array of serves of all levels of schooling.

Our trained staff teach this evedience based curriculum based on 35 years of research. The 15 lessons help kids resist drug, alcohol, and tobacco use. It also supports the reduction of violence and other high-risk behaviors. This program has been going on in York County schools for 8+ years. This curriculum can be conducted at Elementary, Middle, and High school levels. Each level is age appropriate and builds on the other. We offer a tiered approach to vaping lessons.
Prevention staff will come to the school during lunches and interact with students by asking trivia questions related to substance use and mental health.
