Adult Services
Keystone’s services for adults
Every journey is different. Find your path to recovery.
As part of Keystone’s mission to serve our patients while they overcome substance use disorders, we offer a continuum of care designed to meet patients where they are and provide medical care and support, holistic services and ongoing encouragement.
Keystone has developed a reputation for responding quickly to community needs, creating programs that address specific areas of concern and underserved populations in York County. Some of these services include gender-specific programs, young adult programs and Medication Assisted Treatment to combat opioid use.
Keystone recognizes the seriousness of, and therefore gives top priority for admission to, persons with substances use disorders who are pregnant or who have taken substances intravenously.
Taking the First Step
Keystone provides programs for adults, from inpatient to outpatient options, including Medication Assisted Treatment.
All of Keystone’s evidence-based treatment programs begin with a comprehensive, confidential bio-psycho-social assessment so that our staff can accurately determine your diagnosis and recommend the program best suited to your needs.
Anyone in the community is welcome to walk-in for an assessment 5 days a week, no appointment required. You can also schedule an appointment by calling (803) 324-1800. Keystone’s assessment is affordable, and we never require payment upfront—we want you to access the care you need without any unnecessary barriers.

What Keystone Offers - Treatment Programs For Adults
Keystone’s Inpatient Services
Inpatient services are designed for patients who have more severe substance use disorders and need round-the-clock care. The Withdrawal Management Program provides medical support and monitoring to manage patients’ withdrawal symptoms safely and comfortably, and to determine next steps for outpatient care. Keystone’s inpatient services also include a Residential Program that serves adults, including mothers-to-be.
Keystone’s Outpatient Services
Keystone’s continuum of care includes outpatient services that range from screening and assessments to intensive 4-day-a-week group therapy programs. Our professional staff offers high-quality medical care, individual counseling and family counseling. All of our intensive group therapy programs are followed up with Recovery Management so that patients can gradually adjust and learn proper self-care.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
In response to the growing opioid use epidemic, Keystone now offers medication assisted treatment to patients managing the negative withdrawal symptoms and cravings in recovery from opioids and certain other substances. MAT has been proven to make recovery more bearable as well as safer for our patients. Evidence shows higher success rates for patients who choose MAT than for those who choose to handle the symptoms without medication assistance. Keystone employs a physician, full-time Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurses staff to offer MAT to patients in our inpatient and outpatient programs.
